THE MYSTERIOUS MR LOVE
by Karoline Leach

The Mysterious Mr Love is part romance, part psychological thriller. Mr George Love is gentlemanly, polite and charming. Or so he would have you believe. In fact, he is a fortune hunter, marrying vulnerable young women for their money and stealing their nest-eggs. At first, Adelaide Pinchin, a milliner lacking in confidence, seems like just another of his victims, but then the unexpected happens!

“... the company’s first production since the mid-1990s sails on the strengths of director Terry McCracken and actors Bill Jenkins and Sue Birch.” Peggy Heinkel-Wolfe, Fort Worth Star Telegram

"... what’s good about this production is how deeply the actors make us care about the characters. Like Adelaide, we allow ourselves briefly to hope that these two will find redemption from their self-made private hells. It comes as no surprise that they don’t, but it’s a measure of the fine performances that we feel a real pang of sadness as the lights go down.” Elaine Liner, Dallas Observer

“Sue Birch could hardly be better as Adelaide ..” Lawson Taitte, The Dallas Morning News

“... a great period look, terrific small cast and rich atmosphere.” Arnold Wayne Jones, Dallas Voice
